Fashion Portraits w/ Sevahna. M645, Fuji Pro 400h, Ilford HP5 & Polaroid Sun600

Few Notes:

FujiPro400H is very easy to manipulate in post due to how flat the colors and tones are out of the box. Thus making it my film of choice for most client work.

HP5 is easily my favorite black and white film. I could shoot if every day for the next 10 years and honestly wouldn’t even complain. I love how dramatic and contrasty the images come out. I normally opt to properly expose it to bring out that nice natural contrast the stock has. Or, on occasion, I’ll underexpose it to get a nice faded look from the shadows.

Landing focus with the M645 split diopter focusing screen is pretty hard to do consistently especially in low contrast situations. I may opt for the rangefinder focusing screen if one is available, but I haven’t come across a unit for the original M645.
